Gosh it's been a while! I've been terribly distracted by the most exciting and gorgeous little person!
I got extremely pregnant...
...and then Mathilda Agnes was born five weeks ago, just 2 days overdue and a hefty 9lb and 9oz!
I had her at home in a birthing pool which was fantastic; no need to get in the car and go trundling off to the hospital and lovely to be able to get into my own bed afterwards! The Jubilee Team midwives were fantastic all through my pregnancy, during the birth and afterwards - calm, efficient and lovely!
So the last few weeks have been taken up with recovering, figuring out how this tiny creature works and enjoying a lot of snuggling. The exhaustion pales into insignificance compared to the joy and love Mathilda has brought, and the stresses and worries are quite suddenly forgotten with bizarre successes - going a whole four hours between feeds, changing a poopy nappy that hasn't leaked and most recently, enjoying several gloriously uninterrupted nights!
Ed is away at sea again which sucks, but it is so wonderful having a little part of him here to keep me company!
