A Baby Patchwork Quilt

The moment my mum found out that I was pregnant she started planning a quilt for baby.  As ever with quilt planning there were many weeks of mulling-over various gorgeous fabrics, playing with colour combinations and thinking over designs.  The finished article is utterly beautiful!

It is made with beautiful Liberty lawn and sewn entirely by hand.

I love the warmth of the greys and all the different tiny prints, and with all the work and love that went into making it, it's like having a bit of Mim here snuggling baby.

It looks even more gorgeous with a chubby little person snuggled underneath it!  Mathilda slept under it (until she got too wriggly and had to sleep in a sleeping bag instead!) and I'm sure that's why she slept so well!

It's the perfect size for every task and comes with us everywhere!
