Our neighbours have just hatched a batch of chicks.
They are super small, with teeny tiny legs and fluffy feet that patter about, and when they stand still they sway and wobble in a I- haven't-quite-got-the-hang-of-this sort of way.
They are just about the cutest, peepiest, fluffiest things around,
They cheap a lot, and then fall asleep.
I keep having to go round to check they're ok...
But mostly to look (hold, cuddle, make I-am-your-mummy-chicken noises...) at them.
Usually there is about a 60% hatch rate, but they seem to have been super lucky and hatched every egg in the incubator! Fingers crossed that there are lots of girl chicks as we are hopefully going to have some.
I AM SO EXCITED!
So is Margot...I think.
I LOVE those pics with a handful of chick next to your lovely Aran sweater...
