Shopping has recently become a rather soggy experience.
I like to go to the market (where I can get fruit and veg from local farms and freshly caught fish) which is the opposite end of town to the bus stop and then to the butchers which is across the other side of town in a different direction and so all in all it involves quite a lot of walking. I have my trusty trolley, which saves my arms and allows me to trundle for miles carrying piles and piles of heavy things without too much effort, but the recent weather has lead to everything arriving home a bit wet, or me having to scrabble about with thousands of plastic bags. I finally decided I'd had enough the other day and constructed my trolley a delicious little waterproof liner, which also has the added bonus of allowing me to fit more in the trolley without worrying about it leaping out when I step off the kerb or hit a pothole. (Which is very embarrassing and somewhat akin to the feeling you have when you are about six and your lunch box decides to ping open and shower your lunch across the lunch hall...) (please say it happened to someone else too?!)
Anyway, I took my trolley for a test-trundle the other day which was a total and utter success! It poured with rain too, just to make sure it got properly tested, and everything arrived home safe and dry, hurrah!
Well, it comes to us all - just to say I am SOOOO happy to share your happiness with a trundly sort of basket! Quite the best thing (and we won't mention Salisbury 2009 at all, will we?!!)
